OPI Rocks Out With New Gwen Stefani Nail Colors!
I’m a huge Gwen Stefani fan. She is the epitome of cool, and her style is both feminine and bold. So when I heard she was coming out with 7 limited edition nail polishes by OPI for 2014, I was more than excited. I was pumped.
Look, I’ll be the first to admit I’m a sucker for themed lines. Hunger Games cosmetics? Where do I sign up? NFL nail polish? You’re damn straight I’ll be wearing my Bears colors with pride. But this line is a bit more than that: with Gwen never being scared to take fashion risks and use color, it makes total sense to have a nail polish line that celebrates that–where fans and nail polish addicts alike can get those creative juices flowing and show it off by changing up something as simple as their nail color.
“Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style,” OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said in a release.
And those elements have been translated into awesome polish. Her signature red lips have been transformed into the nail polish Over & Over A-Gwen, which is available in a boxed set that includes Swarovski black crystals and silver, gold and pewter studs in bar, square, diamond and circle shapes for creating unique nail designs, as well as nail glue for easy application.
Also available? Love.Angel.Music.Baby.4 in the Morning, which feature a new, semi-matte satin finish designed to be worn without top coat. Push and Shove, a bold chrome hue, is also worn without top coat but requires a special complimentary base coat – Lay Down that Base. One thin coat of Lay Down that Base topped with two thin coats of Push and Shove yields an intense, mirrored finish. The collection is rounded out with two glossy crème lacquers and one sparkly glitter shade: Hey Baby, I Sing in Color, and In True Stefani Fashion.
